AIFI Sets Stage for Forging Industry’s Next-Gen Leaders
The Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI), has recently launched ‘GenNext Entrepreneurs Forum’, a first-of-its-kind platform in India. The Forum aims to nurture future leaders in the forging industry for a globalized industrial landscape with innovation, rapid product evolution, and sustainability imperatives. This transformative initiative is a response to bolstering India’s economy and emerging technology trends in AI, IoT, robotics, and fintech for the growth-hungry next generation of family-owned forging businesses. It marked its first milestone with a Hyderabad launch event, encompassing a CII-Godrej Green Business Centre visit and a leadership workshop, ‘Re-inventing Family-Owned Businesses and Shifting Orbits of Growth’, conducted by Dr Rahul More—a well-known innovation strategist.
Yash Munot, President, Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI), commented, “We are committed to offering them strategic insights, access to the industry’s best practices, leadership training through academia-industry partnerships, and global exposure. The Forum’s future activities include interactions with young leaders, leadership programs in collaboration with top academic institutions, overseas study missions, and capacity-building initiatives on artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning, cybersecurity, and ESG frameworks. This initiative is in line with AIFI’s broader vision to position the Indian forging industry as a global leader in terms of manufacturing excellence, innovation, and sustainability.
