Hyderabad has bagged the prestigious 'World Green City Award 2022' at AIPH

It is a matter of immense pride that Hyderabad has bagged the prestigious 'World Green City Award 2022' at the International Association of Horticulture Producers (AIPH), beating 18 cities, including Paris, Bogota, Mexico City, Montreal, and Fortaleza in Brazil. Hyderabad is the only Indian City selected, and it won not only the category award but also the overall 'World Green City 2022' award, the best across all six categories. These international awards are a testimony to the extensive efforts being put in by the Telangana Government to increase the green cover in the state through its flagship program, 'Telangana Ku Haritha Haram' (TKHH).
The state is equally focused on infrastructure development to match the pace of its growth. The Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) is one of the many flagship programs by the State Government that have changed how people travel in the capital city. It has led to flyovers, underpasses, grade separators, major corridors, and road-over bridges, reducing traffic congestion and minimizing travel time, making Hyderabad one of the most liveable cities in the country.
