There could not have been a more opportune time to concentrate on bioenergy during this session. The dual states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are becoming a playground for bioenergy initiatives, including agri-residue-based biofuels and biogas decentralized systems.

“The BioEnergy sector not only complements our renewable energy goals but also boosts rural livelihoods and contributes to circular economy models,” stressed Srikanth, as the panelists unpacked the recent breakthroughs in the sector that require further practical steps, addressing challenges, and roadmaps to scale up these solutions to achieve India's renewable energy objectives. This is not only in line with India’s sustainable targets but also contributes to rural economies and a circular economy.
