Machine Tools Trends on Display
The 6th edition of Hyderabad International Machine Tool Expo (HIMTEX) will be held from August 18-20, 2022, at HITEX Exhibition Center, Hyderabad, to help tap opportunities in the field of machine tools, engineering, automation, and automotive technology. India Process Expo & Conference (IPEC) is to be held concurrently.
HIMTEX 2022 will host over 150 exhibitors with an excess of 8,000 potential trade visitors, spread across over 7,000 sq mt of exhibition area.
The global machine tools market was worth US$ 77.0 billion in 2019 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 3.2 percent to US$ 98.3 billion by 2027. The rise of the global manufacturing sector, the increased use of metals, and the expansion of end-user industries positively affect the machine tools market. Asia-Pacific dominates the global machine tools market due to government initiatives, manufacturing investments, and construction growth.
In light of this, HIMTEX aims to promote the Indian Machine Tools industry on an international level by bringing manufacturers and buyers together on the same platform to share knowledge and understand market dynamics. It provides a one-of-a-kind showcase of machine tools, engineering, automation, and automotive technology.

Leveraging the Experience
The 5th HIMTEX was held from September 4-6, 2014, at the HITEX Exhibition Center in Hyderabad, with a focus on MSMEs in Telangana. It ran alongside IPEC to provide a platform for face-to-face interaction between manufacturers/suppliers and buyers. Over 100 exhibitors participated in the expo, including NMDC, FL Smith, Micromatic Machine Tools, igus, Mastercam, and BFW, to name a few.
For the forthcoming event, the organizers are optimistic that they will be able to keep up their winning streak by drawing on their previous experiences and keeping their eyes peeled for a successful outcome. Visitors can look forward to the Buyer-Seller Meet, Conferences to cover 360 degrees of the Manufacturing industry, Roadshows at the Industrial Cluster, and the Innovation Arena at the event.
