Among the guests were Dr Shailendra Saroj, Chairman, International Federation of Electric Vehicles Association (I-FEVA); Dr Amiya Kumar Sahu, Founder, National Solid Waste Association of India; P Praveen Kumar Reddy, President, Jeedimetla Industries Association (JIA); Ramesh Miyyapuram, President, Cherlapally Industries Association, Phase 3; A Bhaskar Reddy, President, Federation of Telangana Small (MSME) Industries Association; Yogin Chhaniara, President, Machine Tool Manufacturers Association (MTMA) Rajkot; and K Sreeramachandra Murthy, President, Bharat Fritz Werner Ltd. These leaders, together with the representatives of different industrial associations, set the tone for a highly anticipated four-day event that presented the latest manufacturing innovations.
Tech, Trade, Triumph
HIMTEX 2024 welcomed exhibitors from 32 states of various parts of the country, and more than 1,000 different exhibits were arranged in a 5,900 sq mt exhibition space. One of the most exciting parts of the event was the large diversity of the industries that were present, from aerospace and defense manufacturing to the highly growing electrical, automotive, and pharmaceutical sectors. The event was active with over 15,000 trade visitors, majority from neighboring states, and recorded business deals around INR 300 crore that were made during the four days.
The event witnessed a diverse display of machine tools, technological industrial robots, and other automation solutions such as lathes, CNC machines, and hydraulic presses, among others. Particular interest was paid to the press tools of modern technologies like electric discharge machines (EDM), metal-forming tools, gear cutting machinery, etc., in actual operation. It also showcased specialized products such as material handling equipment, CAD/CAM applications, and testing equipment, which highlighted HIMTEX’s mettle in promoting technological advancement and cutting edge innovation across industries.
Machines in Motion, Progress in Sight
The global manufacturing setting is on the rise, bolstered by industrial automation and robotics. HIMTEX 2024 highlighted the future of manufacturing. Industrial robots that have become effective tools to enhance efficiency and cut human intervention were displayed during the expo. Various products, starting from assembly line automation right up to the control system, were on display that gave participants a preview of how such solutions are likely to revolutionize industries such as aerospace, defence, automobile, to name a few.
Green Shoots of Innovation
Other than technological developments, HIMTEX 2024 played a critical role in showcasing Indian manufacturing industries’ economic potential, especially in Telangana and nearby states. SMEs were highlighted as the key players which brought the positive economic potential to the forefront through their accomplishments and impact on overall India’s development. It became particularly valuable for displaying innovations of many SMEs that constitute the majority of the industrial sector in India.
Sustainability was a major focus of HIMTEX 2024, with a particular focus on green technologies. The concurrently held EcoSustain Expo focused on the technologies used to minimize the effects of industrial processes on the environment. Across the expo, the exhibiting companies upholding sustainability presented solutions from energy-efficient machinery to sustainable production methods.
Curtain Falls, Legacy Rises
HIMTEX 2024 went on to become the melting pot of ideas, innovation, and industrial prospects at HITEX—India’s leading exhibition organizer and venue provider at the heart of Pearl City, Hyderabad. It was a moment when business leaders globally came together on one platform to explore further opportunities in expanding their businesses, sharing knowledge, and sustainable growth.
And as the curtain finally comes down with a look to 2026 and the upcoming 9th edition scheduled in August 20-24, at HITEX Exhibition Centre, Hyderabad, the legacy of HIMTEX continues to grow as India’s premier expo for both its manufacturing and global sectors. While the economic growth advancing the sector comes first for an expo, HIMTEX successfully piqued critical conversation around sustainability, innovation, and the industrial growth of the future, particularly in India.
