World Food India 2023 Preparations Underway
World Food India, a mega food event scheduled for November 3-5, 2023, in New Delhi, witnessed Anita Praveen, Secretary, Food Processing Industries (FPI), chair the First Inter-Ministerial Committee Meeting for the upcoming event. The meeting brought together senior representatives from various ministries, departments, and boards to update them on developments and urge their involvement in World Food India 2023.
The committee meeting was primarily focused on exchanging action plans and exploring new areas of collaboration among the participating entities. All central ministries and departments were requested to contribute their suggestions and participate actively in World Food India meetings. The officials assured their support to the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) through technical and investment-oriented sessions, as well as the promotion of Ayush Aahar and GI products.
The FPI Secretary stressed the importance of all stakeholders working together to ensure the success of the Mega Food Event, urging them to use their strengths and extend additional support. The Inter-Ministerial Committee will meet again in June 2023 to finalize partnerships and participation agreements with various stakeholders. Furthermore, the Investment Facilitation Cell (Invest India) and the event partner (FICCI) were directed to liaise with the respective ministries and departments in order to facilitate the outlined action plan and obtain essential government support.
