South African Tourism Welcomes India’s Largest Trade Delegation to Africa’s Travel Indaba 2023
South African Tourism will host a 30-member trade delegation from India at Africa’s Travel Indaba 2023, honoring the 30-year anniversary of India-South Africa relations. Durban will host the Indaba from May 9-11. The Indian trade delegation will be accompanied and headed by Joel Sibusiso Ndebele, the High Commissioner of South Africa to India, and Neliswa Nkani, Hub Head, South African Tourism (MEISEA). This is the first time the High Commissioner has led a delegation of this magnitude from India.
The High Commissioner of South Africa to India expressed his delight in welcoming the largest ever trade delegation from India to Africa's Travel Indaba 2023. This year, the South African strategic roadmap has extended its invitation to trade partners from tier II and tier III cities, along with existing target markets, to deepen ties with Indian buyers and establish a wider reach in the country. Nkani also acknowledged the Indian travel trade fraternity as the backbone of South Africa’s promotional strategies, as they have played a crucial role in propelling the destination's growth trajectory over the years. She looks forward to continuing this collaboration and reaching greater heights every year.
