Nayara Energy Ltd Invests INR 600 Crore in Ethanol Manufacturing Plants
Taking a significant step toward integration within the energy industry, Nayara Energy Ltd has announced a strategic investment of INR 600 crore in setting up Ethanol manufacturing plants. According to Alessandro Des Dorides, Chief Executive Officer, Nayara Energy Ltd, establishing ethanol facilities will greatly improve the company’s reliability in ethanol supply.
With the Government of India targeting a 20 percent Ethanol blending goal by 2025, the company plans to establish two ethanol manufacturing plants in Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, each with a capacity of 200 kilo litres per day (KLPD). This move aligns with the company’s commitment to renewable energy and regulatory compliance.
The company aims to expand to five plants with an ethanol production capacity of 1,000 KLPD across five plants. These investments signify the company’s dedication to sustainability, long-term growth, and value enhancement in the energy sector which in turn, contributes to India’s renewable energy goals and ensures a greener future.
