India's Technical Textile Industry slated to hit US$ 200 Billion by 2047
Technotex 2023, in its 10th edition, was organized by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India (GoI), and FICCI on the theme of 'Envisioning Indian Technical' to highlight the industry's current trends, developments, challenges, and prospects. Over 150 exhibitors and 250 buyers from 30 countries participated in the three-day conference and exhibition, showcasing their newest technical textile technologies to over 5,200 visitors. India should focus on growth, scale, and speed to expand its technical textiles market to US$40 billion by 2025-26.
By 2047 the technical textile industry should be worth US$100-125 billion, and if India accelerates, US$200 billion can be aimed for, and the Indian Technical Textile market will grow more than 10-12 percent if India can showcase its usages for alternate purposes.
