Indian Companies Bet Big on AI and Generative AI
As per Automation Anywhere, a global software company, 63 percent of Indian companies will invest in AI & ML for business process automation in 2024, up 85 percent from the previous year. The survey found that 33 percent of these companies are strategically aiming to integrate Generative AI, demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to breakthrough technology for business optimization and transformation. Ankur Kothari, Co-Founder and COO, Automation Anywhere, stressed the need for intelligent automation, including AI and Generative AI, to solve the productivity challenge.
AI’s potential in Indian organizations is recognized; however, 39 percent cite data and regulatory and ethical constraints as main impediments. 52 percent of respondents also mentioned technical difficulties and data security. One-third were confident in adopting strong security and privacy protocols to handle these concerns. Automating rule-based transactions is giving way to real-time insights that support strategic goals. As per the report, 80 percent of companies plan to evaluate intelligent automation based on business ROI, while 70 percent use customer and staff happiness. For specialized needs, 63 percent plan to use industry-specific intelligent automation.
