IIT-H’s iTIC Incubator and CDM Collaborate for Defence-Driven Startups
iTIC Incubator at the Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad (IIT-H) has joined forces with the College of Defence Management (CDM) Hyderabad to further enhance support for defense-oriented startups.
A MoU was sealed between Sanjay Datt, Rear Admiral, VSM Commandant, CDM, and Surya Kumar, Dean Innovation, Translation & Startups, IIT-H. This collaboration launches Cohort 2 of the Acclimatisation Boot Camp for Defence (ABCD), a program that is 4 months long and designed to transform civilian tech startups into defense-focused applications.
Participating promising startup companies in Cohort 2 will interact with seasoned veterans, such as military men and women, who are ready to advise on modifying the technologies that can address most of the defence issues. It promotes a culture of collaboration among the startups and ensures that they receive mentorship and validation from the iTIC Incubator at IIT-H when fine-tuning their prototypes for defence use.
