IIM Kozhikode’s Ignite to Empower Micro-Enterprises
Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) introduced the ‘Ignite’ program, which is intended to bring change among India’s micro-enterprises and self-help groups (SHGs). ‘Ignite’ aims to offer funding, mentorship, and essential resources as well as empower innovative start-ups, providing technology-driven solutions to grassroots businesses, and making such ventures scalable and sustainable.
It is formulated for the purpose of promoting sustainable development and building economic resilience by backing the start-ups committed to empowering the less privileged communities. Through the initiative, these businesses will be offered tailored solutions in key areas like supply chain management, financial, and marketing services.
The ‘Ignite’ program is open for application, and those interested are advised to apply before November 20. IIM Kozhikode is inviting start-ups and organizations involved in providing support to micro-enterprises and SHGs to come forward to apply. Prof Debashis Chatterjee, Director, IIM Kozhikode and Chairman, IIM Kozhikode LIVE, emphasized the institute’s commitment to foster collaboration between innovative start-ups and grassroots businesses. He further stressed that Ignite aims to unlock the full potential of micro-enterprises and SHGs, creating lasting social and economic impacts.
