Henkel India Expands with a New Loctite Hub in Kurkumbh
Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Pvt Ltd has completed Phase III of its manufacturing facility in Kurkumbh, Maharashtra. Phase III, originally begun in 2020, expands the site to meet the growing demand for high-performance adhesives, sealants, and surface treatment products. The new Loctite plant, named after the company’s popular brand, was inaugurated by Mark Dorn, Executive Vice President, Henkel Adhesive Technologies.
The company has been growing its presence in India since 1996 and now operates five manufacturing sites and various specialized centers. The Kurkumbh plant’s goal is to boost local production and reduce import dependence while serving sectors like automotive and manufacturing.
The facility features an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) and supports the ‘Make in India’ initiative. The facility is LEED Gold certified and aims to achieve carbon neutrality for Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 2030.
In this backdrop, Sunil Kumar, Country President India, Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Pvt Ltd, noted that this expansion enforces the company’s dedication to making the country a hotspot for advanced adhesive solutions and improving production efficiency.
