GIFA Mexico to Lead Foundry Trade Fair in Latin America - News

GIFA Mexico will make its debut from October 16-18, 2024, at the Centro Citibanamex, Mexico, establishing itself as a foundry trade fair for Mexico and Latin America. As part of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH’s ‘The Bright World of Metals’ portfolio, the event will present technology innovations, sustainable solutions, and industry trends. Mexico’s booming automotive industry and proximity to the lithium-rich ‘lithium triangle’ make it an ideal location for this event.

The event, alongside the established FUNDIEXPO 2024 trade fair, aims to provide a platform for German and European companies to showcase their top technologies. Malte Seifert, Director, Metals, Energy & Autonomous Technologies, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, highlighted the strategic importance of this market for international companies. Exhibitors include industry leaders like ASK Chemicals, and Bühler Holding AG, with participation from countries such as Germany, India, Turkey, Italy, Spain, and China.

The event, in cooperation with the Mexican Foundry Society (SMFAC), will feature new machinery, equipment, materials, and technologies. The fair will also include 90 lectures on future trends in the foundry industry, the Global Metallurgy & Foundry Summit, and various seminars, focusing on sustainability and continuous education.
