Advent International Invests US$ 2 Billion in Cohance Platform - News

Advent International, a major global private equity firm, is set to make a substantial investment of approximately INR 16,650 crore in Hyderabad, establishing the city as the headquarters for its Cohance Platform. This significant investment highlights the growing confidence of companies in Telangana's life sciences sector.

KT Rama Rao, Minister for IT, Industries, Municipal Administration, and Urban Development, Government of Telangana, announced this development, stating that Advent International has chosen Hyderabad as the base for its Cohance platform with a cumulative investment of approximately US$ 2 billion. 

The Minister emphasized that Advent International’s decision to establish a greenfield R&D lab in Hyderabad underscores the city’s growing importance in the pharmaceutical sector. Telangana government has ambitious plans to expand the state's life sciences ecosystem to US$ 250 billion by 2030, up from the current US$ 80 billion, and sees Advent’s investment as a testament to Hyderabad’s influence in the pharmaceutical and life sciences sector.
